There are many benefits of registering with us, including saving adverts and placing adverts through our Place An Ad facility. To take advantage of all the features on offer, click Register For information on the data we collect, take a look at our Privacy & Cookies Policy If you wish to change any of your registered details at any time, simply login and click your Account to edit your profile.
Saving searches
The clipboard is for saving adverts you are interested in. You can then view all these adverts on one page and print them if required. You need to be logged in to use this feature. Simply select the ads you wish to save by clicking to tick the box located at the right side of the advert you want to keep. You will then have the options of printing, deleting and emailing the saved adverts.
Ad Alert
This service provides you with the latest adverts for the item/s you are looking for. You need to be logged in to use this feature. Simply search for your item and then click 'Email me new ads' under the Search Tools on the left side of the page. Your search criteria will appear and the box entitled 'Email me new ads that match this criteria' should be selected. Your alert will run for the next 30 days but you can delete it anytime you wish before it expires.
Free Ad Rules
Private advertisers can sell any item for free on Trade-It.co.uk (excluding pets, livestock and horses ads)
Free ads exclude adult contacts / personals sections as well as ads offering a business service (including holiday lets, rentals), property ads, anyone advertising a stock (2 or more items) or a job. Those adverts will attract the regular business rates for their section.
To guarantee your ad in the Trade-It paper, a small charge of £3 applies. Trade-It reserves the right to cap the word limit of ads printed in the paper.
You can include as many details (words) on your online ad as you want to help your sale.
Free ads apply only to the 'Standard' style online.

Privacy number service
1. What is the Privacy Number Service? The Privacy Number Service allows advertisers to keep their personal phone number hidden from other users of the website. This is done so that no one can abuse the information held on our system other than for contacting the advertisers regarding their advert. The advertisers phone numbers is replaced with our own 070 number, which when a user calls redirects them to the advertisers personal number
2. How much does the call cost me? At Friday-Ad we place many private adverts free of charge, in order to continue to do so we make a small amount of revenue from the 070 service that we now offer. This has also been universally welcomed for the privacy that it now offers our Private advertisers. Calls to privacy numbers are charged at 37.5p per minute at peak times, falling to 25p per minute in the evenings and just 12.5p per minute at the weekends (BT landline customers). If you are not with BT, calls will be charged at your own operators rate. Calls from mobiles will vary depending on the rate charged by your operator.
3. If I call a Privacy number will I get charged if no one answers the phone? No, you only get charged if the call is answered.
4. Do I have to pay for the Privacy Number Service? Besides paying for the actual call to the Privacy Number there are no other charges.
